Cleaning the Tower

Paying guests were due to arrive shortly after we left, so Fee cleaned the tower in preparation for their arrival. These rooms hadn’t been used for many months so wildlife had moved in (bats in the shutters, bugs and lizards scurrying about the rooms) which made house-keeping a bit more interactive. Random squeals could be heard across the courtyard every time something unexpected jumped out…

The bedrooms weren’t made up at the time I took the photos, but here are some shots of the downstairs living area. The owner admitted to saving some bull rushes in a huge vase earlier in the year so by the time we arrived all the seed pods had exploded and clumps of fluff were flying off - getting them all safely outside wasn’t easy.
